Meet the team

Rehan graduated from UCL and trained to become an accountant almost immediately after a short gap year teaching Economics at an international school in the middle east. He has over 15 years experience as a chartered accountant covering sectors such as pharmaceuticals, franchises, motor trade, tech and hospitality.

Abdul joined the team in 2015 and qualified as an Accountant in 2019. If you have a Limited Company and need your accounts and VAT returns done, you’ll quickly be pleased that you have this reliable and friendly assistant on your side – making sure your accounts, returns and anything else you might need is taken care of… so you can spend time doing what you enjoy. If there is something Abdul loves more than numbers, its lunch – once known as the Dinner Lady, he makes sure everyone has a great lunch and keeps the whole team excited about this important time of the day.

Reece has been a critical member of the Durrani & Co team since 2017. He joined as an apprentice and quickly made a mark with his disciplined and can-do approach. You will often find yourself speaking to Reece about personal tax matters and how he can help you get your paperwork to us in the easiest way. Despite maintaining an impressively lean figure, Reece takes his food very seriously often eating two lunches a day – one from home and second that he ends up taking on overhearing his colleagues ordering in.

Josh joined the team just after Covid-19 through our school leaver programme and has progressed rapidly, now working towards becoming a Chartered Accountant. He manages a large portfolio of Limited Company clients, ensuring they remain compliant, well organised, and tax efficient. With a keen eye for detail and a friendly, approachable manner, Josh is a reliable point of contact for day-to-day client queries. Outside the office, Josh is a passionate Watford FC supporter and a regular Sunday League footballer, bringing the same energy and commitment to both his work and the pitch.

Ellie-Mae is often the first voice you’ll hear at the start of your journey with us. With a calm, composed approach and a clear, non-jargon style, she ensures clients enjoy a smooth and well-explained onboarding experience. Alongside this, Ellie-Mae manages payroll, making sure clients and their staff are paid accurately and on time. With years of experience and a can-do attitude, she is a reliable first point of contact for both new and existing clients. In her spare time, Ellie-Mae enjoys unwinding away from the office, spending time with friends and family and making the most of her downtime.

Lauren joined the team in 2023 and is currently studying towards Chartered Accountancy. A detail-driven VAT Accounts Assistant, she manages a portfolio of Limited Company clients, handling VAT returns, reconciling accounts, and ensuring submissions are accurate, compliant, and timely. With a calm, efficient approach and a sharp eye for compliance, Lauren keeps our financial operations smooth and audit-ready, providing clarity and confidence on every task. Outside of work, Lauren enjoys spending time with her friends and family, making the most of her downtime away from the office.

Lucy joined the team in 2024 and is a vital member of our Payroll Administration team, assisting Ellie to ensure every payslip is accurate, timely, and compliant. As an Accounting Assistant, she combines precision, professionalism, and a calm, friendly approach, helping clients and colleagues feel confident and supported. Organised, reliable, and continually building her knowledge while studying for her AAT, Lucy keeps our payroll processes smooth and efficient. Outside of work, Lucy enjoys gymnastics, bringing the same energy and focus to her hobbies as she does to the office.

With over 20 years of experience in the tech space, Zee brings his award-winning skillset to the team, managing software-based projects that enhance workflow and keep our processes up-to-date in today’s fast-paced environment. He also serves as the company’s lead graphic designer, overseeing the brand’s aesthetics and client-facing designs across digital platforms. Outside of Durrani & Co, Zee runs a successful online collectible store, combining his creativity and entrepreneurial spirit in and out of the office.

Nabeel joined the team in 2025 after graduating with a first-class degree in Computer Science. He develops in-house software and solutions for both Durrani & Co and our clients, bringing a focused, problem-solving approach to every project. His skills help streamline processes, improve efficiency, and ensure our technology keeps pace with the needs of the business. Outside of work, Nabeel enjoys biscuits—especially Bourbons—and has a soft spot for all things 80s, bringing a fun, nostalgic energy to his downtime.
